I wandered around Chris and PJ's flat. They were throwing a Christmas Eve party for all of the other British YouTubers. Technically it was also a Christmas party because it was one o'clock in the morning and people are still here; laughing, having a good time.
It was alright. There was only one thing that could make it better: Dan. Dan was visiting his family in Reading for the holidays. I just got back from Manchester myself not to long ago.
I sighed as I walked outside to the balcony. The ground below was covered in a blanket of snow, snowflakes still falling from the December night sky.
I leaned on the railing, just thinking about Dan. When we first met, our first date, our first kiss...
"Why is such a handsome lad like you doing out here all alone?"
My eyes widened as I realized who the voice belong to. I turned around.
Sure enough, it was Dan. He stood there smiling, a small present wrapped in green wrapping paper with a silver bow on top in his hands.
"Dan." I managed to breathe out as I ran up to him. I hugged him tightly, the impact nearly making us both fall as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He laughed before returning the gesture, resting his arms on my waist.
"I thought you said you weren't going to be home for another week?"
"I wanted to surprise you." He smiled. "Here." He handed me the gift. I glanced between him and the present.
"Well...Are you going to open it?"
I just smirked before taking off the bow and placing it on top of Dan's chestnut-colored hair. He gave me a puzzled expression.
"Uuhhh Phil. What's this for?" He asked while trying to fix his hair that I slightly messed up. I stopped his hand, interlocking our fingers.
"You're my present this year."
I leaned up to kiss him, but was quickly stopped by a finger pressed against my lips.
"Open the present first." He whispered, giving me a cheeky grin.
I finally obliged, carefully tearing the paper off to reveal a small box. I smiled at the contents inside.
"Really." I tried to sound sceptical, but failed miserably as I chuckled.
"Yes really." Dan smiled as he took the small plant out of the box, holding it above our heads.
"You're such a dork, Dan." I giggled as I returned my arms to his neck.
"I know, but a sexy dork." He shot back as he leaned closer to me, our noses slightly brushing together.
"You got that right." I mumbled before finally closing the space between our lips.
Quite possibly the best Christmas I've ever had.

"See you next week guys!" I say friendly down the microphone. "Bye!" Dan also says and waves. A round of applause is then heard as the cameras go off. "That was a good one guys!" shouts our manger.
